SASHA Farm Trip Proposal

sashafarm.org

SASHA Farm, Sanctuary And Safe Haven for Animals. It’s the biggest farm animal sanctuary in the midwest. They rescue animals like cows, pigs, horses, chickens, etc. I used to go to this farm a lot, I interned there, and I love it. I am wondering if folks would be interested in going to the farm, getting a tour of the farm, and discussing Animal Liberation and/or veganism?

I know we would get a great tour, and I think I can arrange for us to have a discussion with the folks who run the farm afterwords, possibly via potluck (vegan, of course). What do we think? It doesn’t have to be a huge group, and I would be happy to be a driver. We just need to pick a day that will work for us and the farm.

So! I talked to them, and Saturday, August 8th is the best day for them. They said that friday would be fine too, but they are having a board meeting on sat and everyone would be there. I am going through articles still, I may create something (like a composite of lots of works), we’ll see. We were going to read the article the sunday before, right? That would still be this sunday.

I can drive up to 4 other people there. It’d be a most of the day trip, a 2 1/4 hour drive, (we can easily be home at a decent hour if we like). We drive through lansing, so lansing folks can be picked up if yall wanna come. We’ll go over this at the meeting this week, too; but put any thoughts or interest here!

Definitely going to be in Texas. Totally didn’t realize the conflict until I actually saw the date typed out in your post.

I have something in Lansing that night at 6, so I could do it earlier in the day.

I may also be indisposed on the 8th.

Let’s do a different day! We’ll talk more on wednesday
