Spend some of banked cash on land fees?

Should we spend the money we've got banked on paying the roughly 350 euros (£250, about half of what we've got) in fees it will cost Josef to finalise the transfer of the land in Spain into his ownership/trusteeship (until such a time that we have incorporated a suitable legal structure to which Josef will then entrust the land).

As of today (Tues Oct 23rd) we’ve got £572.67 banked.

The land fees add up to about 350 euro (i.e. roughly £245, or 43% of what is banked to date)

it’s very exciting and like oli says getting all the details mapped out early helps planting the seed of an exciting project manifest into an exciting project…. the reason i’ve given an “ok” instead of “good ” is because i was given land for free in Brazil once and my experience was that it was better not to take it because of the complications involved with ownership and decision making etc, hence the onus on getting the details beaten out.
this would be an amazingly generous act on your part!!!!!

With my coordinator hat on I should point out that technically your membership fees are now over due (you gave me £20 cash back in January for Feb – May).

Just a thought: Wouldn’t it be easier and save us all a round of fees to have your dad transfer the land directly to some collective owned entity? As we are doing it, I guess there will come a second round of transfer fees (?)... But yeah, exciting initiative! Go for it!

Kurohata, you’re quite right – in an ideal world we would’ve transferred the land from my dad directly to some collective entity, but we don’t have one properly set-up yet and time was of the essence.

My dad thought he might be forced to sell the land to pay fines (it turns out this would’ve been unlikely) or that he’d end up selling it anyway because he finds himself in a fairly desperate situation.

Unfortunately entrusting the land to me does mean we will indeed have to pay some more fees at some point in the future to transfer the land again (and fees to set-up a new collective entity unless we just choose to use uniteddiversity llp).
