What’s happened so far?

Cara Wheelen – friend of 106 – came to talk about ‘food sharing’: Ideology of buying and cooking as a collective group.

Cara has been involved in running working food sharing models for a number of years.

From these initial discussions, there is a number of the 106 family who would like to try and initiate food sharing together here.

What to order?¶

A wish list of items was put together in the last meeting, other items added this meeting from Kristine – good one kristine!

Action Point: Noam and Katja to use the lists in researching from suppliers (see below)

Action Point: Noam and Katja to research the 3 regarding; their stock, price and ethical practices.

Money¶

Discussion around how much money to be put in to begin the process of buying.

3 ideas proposed

1. Average Spend – Each coop member estimates how much they spend a month on food. Amount is averaged to provide initial figure.
2. Meals – Set price for breakfast/lunch/dinner/ money paid in provides money to spend
3. Freestyle! buy the food we want and split the cost out

Action Point: Everyone to estimate a monthly figure for spending and email to Miss Katja at katjanyqvi​st@hotmail.​com

Storage¶

Suggestions on how to get boxes and jars for storage. Also adapting kitchen to accommodate coop. Proposed idea to give anyone who would not be interested in the coop priority cupboard space in the kitchen.

Action Point: Dan and Joe – to look into shops that may have storage to give away.

Unsure exactly whose cup of tea the food sharing is and whose it isn’t.
