Situation¶

Our rent gets us access to nice restrooms and a utility sink (shared with Construction Junction and The Space Upstairs).

However, we believe the existing plumbing makes the water less than healthy to drink.

• Source? We can get a test kit… Perhaps CJ has done this recently?

Solution¶

So, we have a water cooler! It takes 5-gallon jugs. Refilling these at the East End Food Co-op is quite economical (not free, though).

1. Car-free option: Use the MBRP trailer, plenty of bungee cords, and a low gear ratio!
2. Walk back with one full jug per person (not the greatest) or borrow & return a shopping cart (also undesirable).
3. Accept help from a non-pedal-powered vehicle

Might be best to refill one at a time, ASAP.

Finer points¶

• We’re in a warehouse; things get dusty. Empties ought to be sealed promptly.
  • Half a soda pop bottle slides over the valve nicely.
    • But if we’ve tossed said valve, a more creative seal is required for hauling.
• Don’t leave the cooler unplugged, it’ll get gross & we’ll have to flush it.
