David L. Gilden is currently a professor of Psychology at UT.

A student who took three of Gilden’s courses (receiving two As and an A- as their final grades)
reported asking Gilden for a standard letter of recommendation. Gilden offered to write the
letter, but upon learning that the student suffered from mental illness, retracted this offer.
