NOTE: REGULAR CLASS DATES AND TIMES MAY CHANGE!

Basic Classes – Sunday Series
We offer a 6 week series of all basic mechanics classes on Sunday nights, one class per week. Pre-registration is required, and paying in advance gets you 6 classes for the cost of 5! Each class in the series is 2 hours long and covers a different topic. This is excellent for those folks who are interested in comprehensive instruction on how to give their bike a basic tune-up or just get an introduction to the breadth of bike mechanics. Register for the Series on our website: freeridepgh.org.

Basic Classes – Drop-In
We offer classes on the same 6 topics covered in the Sunday Series, but on a “drop-in” style individual basis. The drop-in classes are on Sunday afternoons and Monday nights. (Also we have drop-in classes for Women and Transgendered folks only, on the 1st, 3rd and 5th Wednesday nights of every month).
Drop-in classes are a nice option for those folks who want to learn about specific repairs, like adjusting brakes or truing a wheel. Drop-in classes are on a first come, first served basis—no advanced registration is required. Each drop-in class can only accept a maximum of 10 students. We recommend that you arrive 15 minutes before the official class start time in order to secure a spot. Doors will close and lock 10 minutes after the start time, or after the first 10 people.

Advanced Classes
We have 6 advanced mechanics classes for those folks looking for an in-depth review of such subjects as bottom brackets, headsets and wheel building. The advanced classes can be taken individually, and require pre-registration. See our website for more information.
