Learning touch typing takes a great deal of time, so your body’s posture plays an important role in learning it. You can get hurt by bad posture in the back, neck, legs, wrists, and arms.

3. How to use the Typing Master¶

Typing Master – Learn To Type & Test Your Skills

There are two main courses in the typing master: the Touch Typing Course and the Speed Building Course.

Starting with the basics is the only way to go. The course consists of 12 lessons.

Typing master begins with learning the home row.

You need to curl your ten fingers a little bit. And place them on ASDF and JKL; the letters in the middle row of the keyboard.

Because you always start with these keys and always return to them, this row is called HOME ROW.

You should have a raised line on the F and J keys under your index fingers so that you can locate these keys when typing without looking at the keyboard itself.

The color-coded keyboard under the lesson input field will assist you in learning which finger to use for each key.

Important Points

• Use only the fingers you have reserved for pressing the keys.

• If you have trouble finding the home row marking, just move your ten fingers around.

• You should limit the movements of your ten fingers and hands. Make sure you are not moving them beyond what is necessary to press a particular key.

• Bring your fingers into a position close to the base. This will increase your typing speed as well as reduce hand fatigue.

• The ring and little ten fingers should receive special attention. These fingers are underdeveloped.

• Press the Space bar with your thumb.

Every lesson, practice typing and memorize the exact position of every letter on the keyboard.

It is the final step on the journey to touch typing. In addition, it will be a daily routine over 6 months or a year.

8 . Take a Break¶

When you feel you are getting distracted easily and making mistakes, take a break.
When practicing, you may get bored or exhausted after 30 minutes. Be sure to take a 10 minute break every 30 minutes. You will feel more productive if you return refreshed.
