Food coop meeting 18/02/2010¶

Action Point summary¶
*Joe to write a note for the left over stuff to be cleared and taken away (by Wednesday).
*Noam to research buying glass jars/boxes.
*Joe to ring sweetshops.
*Dan to research pantry boxes.
*Noam to do the bank account research (online) – Noam, Joe and Katja to visit the bank if needed.
*Noam (accountant) will work out the accounts at the end of the month and let everyone know.
*Kitty (Joe) needs to pay the coop back.
*Dan to start the food coop introduction document and rest to add and amend.
*Val to make sheets for ‘stuff to get for next order/ stuff that wasn’t good’.
*Dan agreed to buy some pens for us.
Go-round (thoughts/feelings on the coop)¶
Helena:
*Lately getting better but wishes for more complete meals (at least 2/3 people cooking together)
*Chefs shouldn’t wash dishes
*Solutions for cleaning, feels it has gotten a little worse (washing up)
Noam:
*No criticism; it’s been great and it’s good for the house
*Need to concentrate on things we need to do like getting the jars
Joe:
*Wonderful! Happy to invest
*Selection limited at the moment because of ‘locked up’ food and lack of jars
Dan:
*Great :)
*Seasonal was good
Katja:
*Exciting – happy to make time for breakfast home
*no problems that couldn’t have been discussed and all involved
*Not enough fruit
Hallway and clearing¶

Jars:

Money / bank account¶
Discussed the need to open a bank account for the coop.
*Noam to check what needs to be done (online) – Noam, Joe and Katja to visit the bank if needed
Noam suggests that the 5 people who made the initial investment (Dan, Noam, Katja, Joe, Alice) will not pay for the food for the first month (or if yes, only a minimal amount). This was agreed.
*Noam (accountant) will work out the accounts at the end of the month and let everyone know.
*Kitty (Joe) needs to pay the coop back – Dan has the exact amount.
Paz¶
Paz was impressed by the food coop. We agreed to make a document to explain the ‘principles’ to be handed out for the new tenants (and for all).
*Dan to start off the document and rest to add and amend.
Fruit/other things we buy¶
Agreed to buy fruit (and veggies) from the farmers market and other places. Agreed that when we buy fruit/bread/other food, we buy plenty for all!
Sheets¶
*Val to make sheets for ‘stuff to get for next order/ stuff that wasn’t good’.
Individual food¶
Discussed about organising a separate section for individual food in the fridges (but still including name tags for these foods too). It was suggested to use the ‘frozen’ fridge for this (next to the kitchen door). Let’s try this out and see if it works!
Pens¶
