Training Course “Web for Freedom”¶
The word “web documentary” it refers to a multimedia product resulted from the mesh up of various technologies and narrative languages, designed for the online fruition. Regarding the contents side, the web-doc lends itself to participation of its users, which becomes actives participants that can choose their method of use, exploring the content of its parts according to custom locations. Regarding the multimedia side, if a classic documentary is an exclusively audio-visual product, web-doc requires the use of audio-video integrated graphics, text, photos, hyperlinks, etc..
The cross-mediality of the new media requires careful planning of any editorial content. The object of communication should be designed with the understanding that using different platforms and languages, you can make them converge into a single contents. The training is aimed in particular to the authors who use the web and cross-media platforms to make communication or those who simply wish to approach these tools of storytelling. It will address the theoretical aspects of independent communication, cross-medial, the designs and technical aspects needed to build a web documentary: writing, post production, editing and distribution.
Topics of the course:
• The independent communication
• Development of web doc: what they are, how they work, how to create them, use of software klynt.
• Preparation of content for the web-doc: shooting video, video editing, image manipulation, compression audio-video, on-line publication of the wordpress platform and use the code embedded on social networks

During the training will be made a short web-doc on the course, to organize information, knowledge acquired and to be used as documentation / promotion of the project. Subsequently, the students chose a theme in common, they will realize a web doc, under the online supervision of teachers and using the platform built specifically for the exchange of content and collective work.
