Summer Youth Programs Update: Currently we have 7 instructors. 4 trained, 3 training.
We have 3 programs:
1. Positive Spin – 80 youth offsite Earn-a-Bike program for kids 14-18. July 11-Aug 12. 4 instructors needed
Organized by the MGR Foundation and part of the Summer Dreamers summer school program
2. Grow Pittsburgh- 10 kid, 18 hour, 3 day Earn-a-Bike program onsite. 2 instructors needed. July 20, 21st, and 26th.
Organized by Grow Pittsburgh, students from Braddock Youth Project, the Hill House, and Larimer who
are doing a summer employment program with gardening.
3. Lawrenceville United: a 10 kid earn-a-bike program onsite from June 20th to July 29th. A weekly program (dates TBD)

: leslie park pool event on July 16th 4-9. FR will hand out prizes, offer patch a flat workshop, and
have bike jewelery making and 3 bikes to raffle off (these bikes will be donated bikes that volunteers
fix up)

Reportbacks of respect issues¶
In 2010 retreat, we consensed to provide time in general meetings for attendees to disclose problems they have had with being on the receiving end of disrespect, harassment, etc. in the shop and collective. This is not the venue all people would choose, but it may be right for some.
