Tools & stuff¶

Background: Last week the key to the lower part broke off in the box.
As of October 25, we have two solutions:
- The broken key was removed and we have a replacement from Stanley.
- A lockable bar is used to secure the box.
- Any preferences? (Can resolve next meeting or over email, etc.)

We will have the opportunity to take on some big projects this winter, so this is a list of things we may want to see get done.

Shop Lighting/Wiring (put it off until we have a good chunk of time to tear down much of the shop)
Organizing bikes
Get a bunch of fix-for sales ready to sell in the spring time
- Give a big boost to the ordinary fix for sale system
- Churn out very simple bikes to move stagnant components out the door
- Inventory stock (especially frames) to ensure that we retain wide a variety
Make a wheel straightening tool like at Kraynick’s
Take care of bike-hook integrity
New/Additional/Different shelving (lots of options here)
System for using old frames as raw building material
- Chop saw, storage, etc.
Shop computer and digital register
Small (& medium) parts organization
- Cable housing storage (PVC tubes to help sort by size)
Shop layout
- Location of benches/work areas
- Location of key tools like the compressor
- Location of stored parts of various kinds/categories
