Sign 6: Giving back to Free Ride
Free Ride accepts donations of unwanted bicycles, bike parts, tools, accessories and materials! Any and all conditions of bicycles and parts are welcomed. So are usable tools and materials. We ask that you bring your donation during our Open Shop or Volunteer Night hours. You can receive a receipt for the value of your donation from a staffer. Donations are tax-deductible! Note: We absolutely DO NOT accept donations of helmets, bike-mounted child seats, or non-bicycle-related things (skateboards, roller blades, snowboards, etc.)
Free Ride also accepts your donations to help keep our programs running! We need your donations to help fund our youth and adult bike mechanics classes, our basic shop expenses, and our purchase of necessary tools and materials. Please consider supporting us!
But more than anything… Free Ride would REALLY love your time and energy! Volunteer with us! (See “Volunteering at Free Ride” to learn how).
