Heber Alonzo Meraz

For saving the life of an individual who was choking Heber Alonzo Meraz was awarded the American Red Cross Lifesaving Award in 2010 and for saving the life of the woman, who is a resident of Fairfield, Connecticut, he was also rewarded with a State of Connecticut General Assembly Official Citation.

Some of the local events that are hosted by Heber Alonzo Meraz include the annual ‘Neighborhood Safety Event’ that is totally based upon creating awareness among the children regarding CPR, and fire safety and prevention. He is also associated with Toys for Tots, which is a program that distributes toys among children whose parents are unable to buy them gifts at Christmas.

Being the member of Hartford Marathon Foundation, Inc, Heber Alonzo Meraz says that it is a non-profit organization whose mission is to encourage families and individuals to adopt and maintain a healthy and active lifestyle and this foundation was incorporated in 1994, with the motto of promoting fitness among peoples of all ages.
