We need to:
- New orchard area where brambles were – start getting it ready for tree
planting – dig out main roots along 2 strips where trees will go
controlled burn of brambles - Hoover dam – when wet puddling of clay – that is treading /pounding of clay –
then plant up with watercress and reedmace. mints can go in later in spring. - Medlar just about ready to pick= any offers of who wants to process?
- orchard- clear under fruit tress and mulch with chipping- later the council
will drop off fresh leaf mould- a layer of that around each tree would go
down well. - It is pretty much time for hardwood cuttings- currants/gooseberry, sage,
rosemary. I think that Ben has been working on plant tree labels…if they are ready=
put up - The bottom bit…. now is the time to plant…. onion, garlic, shallot, broad
bean - some winter salad and mustard can still go in – might be warm enough
- The beds can be worked on- remove perennial weeds and finish off beds to ends
*The area below toilet – clear up
