Early Life

Hwang So-hee was born in Seoul, South Korea, on April 7th, 1988. She is quite private about her personal life and has not disclosed anything about her parents. As a child, she became interested in music and wanted to become a DJ.

While studying in high school, Hwang began performing as a DJ in 2013. Later, she went to college to study musical stage acting. However, that did not last long, and she dropped out of college in 2014 to pursue her career as a DJ.

Career

In August 2015, DJ Soda teamed up with fellow DJs Sidney Samson and Will Sparks. They got a chance to perform at Life in Color in Seoul, South Korea. That year, she went on tour with the Korea World DJ Festival.

DJ Soda eventually signed with “Warner Music Group” and released her debut EP, “Closer” in June 2015. She teamed up with the South Korean girl group, “Sistar,” and performed at several events.

Soda continued to perform in big events, including the 2017 Bangkok’s “S20 Songkran Music Festival.” That event was one of the world’s top three music festivals.

Breakthrough
