Amed Nesimi Subhu Dem

This was composed by Abd al-Qadir Maraghi, who was born in what is now Azerbaijan in the 1300’s. It is in the Rast makam.

This song is very popular in the Turkish repertoire (I’ve met several Turkish people who recognized it), so it is widely recorded and available online. This one is preceded by a nice taksim and has some nice frame drum work. This one has a singer, which is nice to hear since it is a song, after all. The recording from which I transcribed is available here.

A simplified version of the rhythm is

D- TT DD T-

With some ornamentation, a higher-resolution rhythm notation is
D--k T-T- DkD- T--k
.
