Secure Video Uploads

Go *HERE* & select to securely upload action videos, photos, or anything else.

Your files are encrypted before they leave your device, and only CLDC legal staff, allied attorneys and supporting tech folks will have access to them. What you share with us will only be used in defense of you and your comrades.

Make sure action videos work for activists, not against them

Have video showing police violence? Before you upload raw video to youtube, facebook, google, dropbox or other corporate servers, consider that images intended to document abuses by police could also be used in legal proceedings against folks risking arrest.

Step-by-step directions

Option 1 — quick & easy upload link

Go *here!* to securely upload video (or any other files) that only CLDC lawyers and support staff can access. This will work on a smartphone or computer. Files you share this way will remain on your phone or computer, but you won’t be able to access them on the server and we won’t know who sent them.

Keep in mind that video files can be large and might be impossible to upload on slow or nonfunctional data networks in the Anacortes area during Break Free. You can send your files later once you have access to a good Internet connection.

Option 2 — use the app & email us

If the link doesn’t work for you, or you would like to share further details with us, download the app, create an account and email your username (an email address) to us:

bfpnw-upload@riseup.net

You’ll get an in-app invite to a shared folder where you can upload files. We’ll make a copy for ourselves and you will be able to access your files on the server until you delete them.

Option 3 — maximum privacy

If you want to be as anonymous as possible, download Tor and use the link in Option 1.

Who are we?

We’re an affinity group providing the means to securely upload raw footage (video, audio, photos, documents) that only CLDC, supporting attorneys, and one or two trusted tech folks will have access to. We’ll destroy any metadata that could be used to link you to the files you share with us, and they will only be used in the legal defense of activists or proceedings against police or corporate security.

To request that we delete (or share) the files you sent, email us with contact information and the filenames, dates & times you uploaded: bfpnw-upload@riseup.net
