For discussing ways in which Food Not Bombs groups can make better use of the internet as an organizing tool.

Some possible topics to discuss:

• A history of how Food Not Bombs has used the internet and conventional media

• A look at what tools are being used today; How social-networking sites like Facebook and Myspace are being used

• About the Creative Commons movement – how Food Not Bombs can become a Creative Commons social movement

• Examining the ways in which Food Not Bombs groups use Myspace and Facebook, and encouraging those groups to also create groups on we.riseup.net, as an alternative to Myspace and Facebook.

• Rebuilding FNB websites so that they are interactive and user-developed (as opposed to static HTML webpages that function as online brouchures). Using CMS’s such as Drupal and Wordpress, and Wiki’s to create interactivity.
