“Verion 8” has nice, large 12-point font, but the columns are screwed up for me. Maybe it’s because of OpenOffice. I edited some things and increased the font from 11 to 11.5 instead of 12. Let me know if the changes are OK, including the fonts and the wording. I’ve worked on it so long that I can’t tell what’s best anymore. |

ARGH. Now the only thing wrong with version 14 is the zip code. That’s what I get for being too lazy to double check. |
|
Okay, Version 15 should be the final one. When converted to ODT it looks like Version 16 (graphic gets misplaced). When converted to Word, the bullets turn back into film snapboards and other formatting issues appear. The only way to actually get the result of what I was designing is to export it as a PDF. I know this will create problems with future updating, though, so that is why I have submitted Version 16 too (the editable one). |

Caroline, thanks. Actually, I prefer the fonts in “Version 11” (“Member brochure trifold 7”). I was working at the same time as you – I hope you won’t be offended if I upload my result? Is the formatting OK on this one? |

There is a discussion of the brochure here. |

Hi who made version 18 and 19? What are they? Are those the ones that Jessica made and that I have printed out to bring to the shop? Please let me know so that we can write some note about it. Also, Philip, the link about that say “here” is to this page. Did you mean to link a different page? |
|
I’m guessing that Jessica made Versions 18 and 19. Yes, sorry about the link, I now corrected it. |

Formatting is impressively difficult. It seems that Word is very buggy. I found that making all fonts Times New Roman helped to not get text to magically repeat itself and appear in discontinuous segments. I updated version 20 and 21. They are not perfect, but they fit onto one piece of paper and there is no random text floating around, so that is nice I suppose. |

Version 18 (“Member brochure trifold 18”) fits on two sides for me (Open Office 2.4). I much prefer the formatting and fonts in Version 18 compared to Versions 20 and 21. I uploaded a PDF version of Version 18 as Version 22 (“Member brochure 18.pdf”), for people who want to print it but don’t have OOo 2.4. Remember, you don’t have to use the last file that was uploaded to this page. |
|
Updated to remove the members getting discounted classes benefit since that was never implemented. Also, I uploaded formats as DOC, PS and PDF. The PS is good for printing, just remember to print on both sides flipping on the short edge. lpr -Pprinter -# N -o Duplex=DuplexTumble MemberBrochureTrifoldX.ps |

See comments on membership quarters in ‘Preparing to open the shop in March 2011’. Brochure may need to be revised. |
