Please can you look at the flier below and check that the title and time of your workshop is ok? We’re still looking for a venue so if you know of anywhere can you let us know.
Also a reminder to send at least 1 person from your working group tp the LONDON GENERAL MONTHLY GBC MEETING, 1 March, 7pm
Venue LARC.
Thanks, x
Hi all, the actual minutes from the GBC meeting will be put up on the GBC part of the site, but here are some points to highlight from a medic perspective.
Medics training next weekend
Someone asked for confirmation of the venue for next weekend, advised SOAS for sat and sun wasn’t sure about Fri?
Accommodation for medics from out of town
It is tricky to use LARC as red and black social is on Fri night, can we not accommodate them from within the group? I might be able to put two peeps up on Fri (tbc) but deffo not the sat. Any one else??

Training happening in Brighton and Scotland*
Do we have dates for these trainings, can they be put on the GBC website.
Training on 12th and 13th
Confirmed we can offer a session on this weekend. We discussed doing one session lasting between 1 and 3hrs, a venue is still being sorted. We were asked about the content of this training; I said it would be focussed on sort of ‘protest first aid’ rather than parental advice such as take some water etc etc. If anyone feels very strongly about the description of the training for this weekend (or if this description doesn’t fit!), they should write a brief summary and send it to the Training working group on crabgrass. In fact even if someone doesn’t feel very strongly it might be a good idea so the promotional literature specify exactly what we are offering, and how long.
Phone
There is £90 available for the medics from the fundraiser, it was suggested R.E phone that we use some of this money to buy a very cheap phone and sim card. Any one up for doing this?
Next GBC meet up
Tues the 1st March at 7pm at LARC. Someone from the elusive and mysterious ‘Network X’ will be coming to tell us what they do, and so we can work out how we can co-ordinate and co-operate.or at the very least stop shceduling our meetings on the same day.
See u all soon X
In answer to the questions above:
Next weekends training is at SOAS on all three days.
The people needing accommodation for the training are one group of three (mother, daughter and daughter’s friend I think) and one woman alone, if anyone is able to accommodate either can they please let me know ASAP.
The Glasgow training will be on the 18th-20th March. The group there thinks they will have enough people coming that they don’t need it put on the gbc website yet. No date for Brighton yet but probably April.
The training we are offering on March 12th/13th will be a basic ‘self care’ workshop covering how to look after yourself and friends on demo’s plus a little bit of first aid.

Sorry was at meeting but missed the request from medics about phone, if you’re happy to buy a phone go ahead, but we have spare legal phones and you can have one of you like?, on sim cards the legal team are all using giff gaff sim cards giffgaff.com, as it allows us all to ring each other for free, you may want to do the same, you can order one online. G,x
Ooh, yesh please! That’d be good. Can we sort that out on the 1st? Don’t think we need one before the 26th (shout me out if I’m wrong). Ta!

Will bring a phone and the money on the 1st, G, x
