Day One¶
Objectives: By the end of the day you should
- be able to set up, run and put away a simple DJ system
- understand what are sources, mixers, amplifiers and speakers
- be familiar with common types of connectors and cables
- know how to look after the equipment and use it safely
Day Two¶
Objectives: By the end of the day you should
- be able to run a powerful sound-reinforcement installation safely
- understand the concepts of signal path, cross-over network, equalisation
- know how power is supplied to the components of the 1in12 PA
- be able to do emergency shut-downs, know where the fire extinguishers and exits are, and power-up safely after an emergency shut-down
Day Three¶
Objectives: By the end of the day you should
- be able to make a simple live performance sound good
- understand the basic functions of a mixing desk
- know about some different kinds of microphones, how to use and look after them
- be familiar with DI boxes, stage boxes, multi-cores and foldback
