Join the OWS Medic Working Group¶

In order to join the OWS Medic Working Group the following guidelines have been agreed upon to accept members into the OWS Medic Working Group.

Accept the code of ethics OWS Medics code of ethics — offsite (wrttn) link
Shadow another medic for 3-5 different shifts, this can include Charlotte’s place, the
churches, marches, protest events, etc… – It is recommended that aspiring members vary the type of shift to gain experience.
Attend some OWS training, this can include, street medic training, bridge training,
Wednesday night skills sharing, etc… Dates and times will be posted when available.
Upon completion of requirements pass consensus of current medics to obtain full status within the OWS Medic Working Group.


estherm 2012-02-23	I thought we agreed that one can be considered a medic before attending any training(s), if zie has completed all the other requirements and promises to attend trainings in the future?


Justin Hood 2012-03-12	Nope, this was the agreement we had come up with at the meeting. The training does not need to be an official training; skill shares are considered trainings.
